Financial Contributions
Please help. Your financial and in-kind contributions give abused
women and children a place to go, a place to reclaim their dignity
and self-esteem, a shelter from the storm of domestic violence.
Examples of what your gift can do at Sojourner Truth House:
• Provide victims of domestic violence and their children with
safety and shelter
• Provide facilitators for Batterers Anonymous-Beyond Abuse
group sessions for domestic abuse offenders
• Provide food for 37 people at our shelter three times a day
• Provide childcare supplies
• Provide transportation to safety

Honorariums/Memorials
Donors may make gifts in honor or memory of friends and family members.
Memorials and Honorariums are listed in our newsletter. Please specify
the address of honorary gift recipients so we may notify them of
your gift.
Endowment Fund
Your gift to the Sojourner Truth House permanent endowment fund
will help further our mission of preventing domestic violence and
promoting domestic respect. The endowment fund provides stability
and security, helping to ensure our mission over the long term.
Endowment funds are permanently set aside and invested to generate
future earnings.

Sojourner Truth House is always in need of in-kind donations, but
due to limited storage space we have developed partnerships with
St. Vincent de Paul Society and The Bottomless Closet
for clothing donations. Your donation to one of these organizations
in our name is credited to Sojourner Truth House. Our clients receive
vouchers so they can go to St. Vincent de Paul or the Bottomless
Closet and select what they need. New nightwear and new underthings
are accepted.
